Early in March, Opera released its Opera Mini mobile browser, version 5.0 beta, for Android phones. Opera Mini 5 beta for Android is coming with Featuring all your favorite Opera features such as Speed Dial, tabbed browsing, compression, speed and a smooth design.
The app has now been polished enough to reach version 5.1 and drop the beta tag it’s been carrying for so long.
Opera Mini 5 relies on Opera’s servers to cache and compress pages for you, so what’s sent to your phone is actually much smaller than what you normally would download if you were to get the entire page. Opera Mini will give Android users a fast and cost-efficient access to their favorite Web sites and services,” said Dag Olav Norem, Vice President of Products, Opera Software. via Opera Mini Press Release
